First Aid Courses

he Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) teaches how to deal with life-threatening and non life-threatening emergencies.  Here are some of the skills you'll learn in the Primary Care course

  •  Rescue Breathing, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR),
  • Serious bleeding management, Shock management
  • Spinal injury management, Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Conscious chocking

In the Secondary Care (first aid) course you'll learn illness and injury assessment, bandaging and how to splint for dislocations and fractures.

In the Care for Children section - we will look at specific difference with regards CPR, Choking and illness assessment

All Courses use a combination of Knowledge Development, Skill Development and Scenario Practice to make sure you have the knowledge, understanding and confidence to use your skills if you ever need to do so.

The Emergency First Response course will count towards your Rescue course if you are a diver.

We ask that you have read both manuals prior to starting the course and have completed the Knowledge reviews found at the end of each manual - these will be collected in at the end of day - so please have then removed from your manuals or photocopies ready for submission.

A Small final Exam on Primary, Secondary and Child Care takes place at the end of the Day - this is simply multiple choice and by the end of the day will be straight forward as we will cover all the points in detail during the day.
