Tec Diving Courses

Diving beyond recreational limits typically falls into two categories.

  • Recreational depths but with extended bottom time
  • Deeper depths.

Recreational depths but with extended bottom time

Think of Thistlegorm but a 2 hour dive, Rosalie Moiller for longer than 15 minutes on the wreck. Being able to look around the deck of the Carrier Oriskany, without just getting to it and then heading to the surface straight away. Closer to home; more than 30 minutes of bottom time on M2 or Aeolian Sky.

Divecrew offers a range of courses for this type of diving:

  • PADI Tec 40.

    • 40m depth limit with 10 minutes of decompression. Allows use of Nitrox up to 50% for decompression.
    • 3 day course.
    • £350 inc manual and certification

  • SSI – XR Nitrox

    • 40m depth limit with 15 minutes of accelerated decompression. Allows use of Nitrox up to 100% for decompression.
    • 3 day course.
    • £400 inc manual and certification

  • SSI – XR Nitrox & Extended Range Combined course

    • 45m depth limit with 15 minutes of accelerated decompression. Allows use of Nitrox up to 100% for decompression.
    • 4 – 5 day course.
    • £500 inc manual and certification

  • SSI – XR Nitrox & Limited Trimix Combined course

    • 45m depth limit with 20 minutes of accelerated decompression. Allows use of Nitrox up to 100% and Limited trimix with an equivalent narcotic depth of 24-30m
    • 4 – 5 day course.
    • £525 inc manual and certification

  • Extended Range and Limited Trimix upgrades from Tec40, Advance Nitrox or similar courses.

Pre-requests include:

  • Advanced Open Water, Deep and Nitrox diver certifications
  • Signed medical statement (self certification is not accepted at this level)
  • 50 dives with at least 10 being deeper than 18m on Nitrox
